Ampa engages with rollout of new employee platform

Leading legal and professional services group Ampa – which includes full-service law firm Shakespeare Martineau, consumer-focused law firm Lime Solicitors, planning and design consultancy Marrons Planning, debt, asset and uninsured loss recovery firm Corclaim, and global cyber security firm CSS Assure – has gone live with its new employee platform, powered by Engage Solutions Group (ESG).

The Ampa-branded platform, which applies the principles of social media across both smartphone and desktop, provides an easy way for over 900 staff to view, like, comment on and tag others in the latest internal news and events, making collaboration across the Ampa group easier.

The pandemic has helped illustrate the importance of having people-centric tools, things that help the individual, that inform, educate, sustain, encourage and enable. The dedicated employee platform is one more example of Ampa placing people first, something which is part of the group’s DNA; the brands within the group have been listed in Best Companies 2021 as ‘outstanding’ and for top 20 law firms, top 100 Midlands and top 75 large London businesses.

Ben Buckton, group chief marketing and people officer said: “Ampa creates opportunities and provides businesses within the group with the infrastructure needed to enable and accelerate growth. The new employee platform from ESG mirrors that infrastructure, giving us even more dynamic and direct internal communication methods to engage our people daily, involving them in our culture and keeping them connected to our strategy – particularly important as our people work in many different locations.

“Having an easy way for people to share relevant content with their networks will further aid our efforts to grow our business and encourage collaboration. Over the coming months, we’ll also be focusing internally on strengthening our empowered work culture even more.

“The speed at which we embraced agile working when the pandemic began was impressive; the platform gives us yet more scope to further our agile and collaborative ways of working, helping us keep everyone informed and connected – with what they need to know and with each other.

“We want our people to have a true work-life balance, where they are empowered to take accountability for their own time and where they work. It, therefore, makes complete sense to offer them access to a mobile-first, interactive internal communication tool which reduces the reliance on emails and instead gives timely updates ‘little and often’ that our people can read at a time that suits them.”

Ampa is a top 60 group of legal and professional services companies and follows two recent top 150 law firms to go live with Engage Solutions Group’s employee platform: Walker Morris and CFG Law in 2021.
